I Crave Paris

Aeroplane - We Can't Fly

A while ago Aeroplane (then a duo, now just one dude) matched their remix of Friendly Fires’ Paris with the vocals from Flight Facilities’ Crave You. It sounded rather nice indeed. Across the internet people have been, ahem, craving the release or even leak of this track. With the release of the Aeroplane album We Can Fly imminent, Vito has kept the fans sweet by dropping this gem on Soundcloud.

While you’re over there, check out the Cajual page, Green Velvet’s stable.

More Candy For you Ears

While we’re waiting for the next Transmission Radio/Podcast (any day now!) if you’re looking for something a bit different you might want to check this one; The Shock World Service. Definitely on the more laid-back/eclectic (hate that word!) tip, there’s 35 episodes online and this is as good as any to start with…

Keith Loutit Tilt Shift Video

Check out this amazing Tilt-shift video by Keith Loutit. For those who’ve not seen if before Tilt-shift photography refers to the use of camera movements on small and medium-format cameras, and sometimes specifically refers to the use of tilt for selective focus, The process makes every day scenes look like small models and in this case a stop motion animation.

Surkin x Revolver

Surkin

Gallic Ableton maestro Surkin has been far from prolific since he burst on to the scene in 2006. You can count his releases on two hands – blinding slabs of electronic wizardry such as Radio Fireworks, White Knight Two, Silver Island and Hoes Get Down with Bobmo – but his appeal has remained undiminished as his fans desperately await new material. Maybe that’s why we still love him – he hasn’t flooded the market with second-rate tracks or ill-advised remixes. Ahead of the release of the club mix of recent smash Fan Out he’s put out a quick-fire mix of some of the tracks of the moment for Japanese brand Revolver, together with some unreleased gems and classic loops – all in all some 23 tracks (if not more – I’ve noticed a few that aren’t in the tracklist) in half an hour. His Ableton game is top notch, and seeing him live is a must.
